Part-time work during study period
- International students enrolled in a tertiary program of study are eligible to work up to 40 hours fortnightly during the academic year
- Students can work full time in Australia during the Semester breaks.
- The average wage for part time jobs is between AUD $17 -$23 per hour.
- Students dependent can work full time during the visa period (Master by coursework or higher).

Post Study Work Visa (Employment - after study)
The Post-Study Work stream offers extended options for working in Australia to eligible graduates of a higher education degree. Under this stream, successful applicants are granted a visa of two, three or four years duration, depending on the highest educational qualification they have obtained.
Students who successfully completed Bachelor or Master Degree Course in Australia with a duration of 2 years or more are eligible for a Post study work visa of 2 years.
Students who successfully completed master Degree Research with a duration of 2 years or more are eligible for a Post study work visa of 3 years.
Students who successfully completed Doctoral Degree with a duration of 2 years or more are eligible for a Post study work visa of 4 years.
During this period students are eligible to work unlimited hours or study.
